GROOMING TERMS & CONDITIONS

Service Agreement

​

Pets are accepted for grooming only under the following circumstances:

  • The pet is fit and healthy. 

  • Grooms taking place on an elderly or infirm pet will be at the owner's risk. 

  • Grooming may expose pre-existing health\skin conditions for which The Dog Park cannot be held liable.

  • The pet's rabies vaccine is up to date (as required by law) and proof given to The Dog Park, unless otherwise discussed.

 

For services rendered the client agrees to the following:

  • In the event of an emergency, in your absence, you authorize The Dog Park to contact the nearest Veterinarian and authorize the Vet to treat the pet as necessary at owner’s expense.

  • Payment is to be made at the time of service. Payment can be cash or credit card. Returned payments will incur a $35 charge. Our rates are based on the pet's breed, weight, coat type, coat condition and duration of the groom. 

  • Nail cutting and ear cleaning are part of the full services unless the process is too stressful for the pet or too dangerous for the groomer.

  • We do NOT include anal gland expression or ear plucking, as we recommend these should be performed by a licensed veterinarian. These services can cause discomfort and possibly lead to irritation requiring veterinary care, for which The Dog Park will not be liable. If requested to perform these services, there will be additional fees. 

  • "De-matting" or complete coat removal will dramatically alter your pet's appearance. This procedure may expose pre-existing health\skin problems and may cause irritation to the pet’s skin when mats are removed for which The Dog Park cannot be held liable. Fees will apply.

 

Cancellation/No-Show Fee

  • A Late Cancellation is when a client cancels or reschedules an appointment within 24 hours of scheduled appointment time.

  • A No-Show is when the client does not come to the scheduled appointment time and does not contact The Dog Park to cancel or reschedule.

  • If a client is more than 15 minutes late to the scheduled appointment time, this will be considered a No-Show and will be charged the Cancellation/No-Show Fee, unless otherwise discussed with the groomer the appointment is scheduled with.

  • The Cancellation/No-Show Fee will be charged to the credit/debit card attached to the clients profile.

  • The first time the Cancellation/No-Show Fee is charged it will be 50% of scheduled services, second time will be 100% of scheduled service, and the third time will be 100% of scheduled services and The Dog Park reserves the right to refuse any future services.

  • We reserve the right to charge the Cancellation/No-Show Fee due to the loss of revenue caused by the cancelation or no-show.

Cancellation Policy

​

  • Cancellation or rescheduling of an appointment, by the client, requires 24 hour or more notice to waive the Cancellation/No Show Fee.

  • A Late Cancellation is when a client cancels or reschedules an appointment within 24 hours of scheduled appointment time.

  • In the event of inclement weather or any other uncontrollable circumstance, The Dog Park has the discretion to waive the Cancellation/No Show Fee within the 24 hour period.

  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule an appointment if we feel the need to do so. Every effort will be made to reschedule at a time convenient for both the client and the groomer. If The Dog Park is canceling or rescheduling within the 24 hour period, the Cancellation/No Show Fee will be waived.

  • Should a client have 3 or more cancellations within the 24 hour period of any appointment The Dog Park reserves the right to refuse any future service.

  • We reserve the right to charge the Cancellation/No-Show Fee due to the loss of revenue caused by the cancelation.

No-Show Policy

​

  • It is considered a No-Show when the client does not come to the scheduled appointment time and does not contact The Dog Park to cancel or reschedule.**

  • It is also considered a No-Show if a client is more than 15 minutes late to the scheduled appointment time.

  • We reserve the right to charge the Cancellation/No-Show Fee due to the loss of revenue caused by the No-Show.

We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet or client for any reason.
